The latest version of the Windows operating system is Windows 11. If you are thinking of migrating your current version of Windows OS, you should upgrade to Windows 11. Here is how to download Windows 11 ISO and Install Windows 11. However, for those who do not have an install disc and are not computer savvy, the installation process could be complicated for them, but it’s not something that’s not possible for you to do.
Step 1: Download the Windows 11 ISO Legally
Firstly, go to the Windows 11 download page on the Microsoft website and click on the Download Now button, which is blue. For those who are currently running on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, the download will offer you the Windows 11 download tool. Otherwise, continue with step 2 below.
The Windows 11 Download Tool makes it easier to convert any USB flash drive into a Windows 11 Boot Installer and will allow you to download the Windows 11 ISO file, which you can later use. Create Installation Media
Then, you need to select Create Installation Media for another PC and click NEXT. This will also ask you to select the language, architecture, and edition of Windows that you want to install. It is better to click USE THIS RECOMMENDED OPTION FOR THIS PC. Still, you can also customize and choose your preferred language from the Windows Edition like Windows 11 Pro, Home, or Enterprise.
Now, select the ISO File option for those who want to install Windows 11 on their PC. This function of this is that it saves a file that you can use later to upgrade your PC to Windows 11. You can also use ISO to burn Windows 11 to DVD if that’s what you prefer and in this case, jump to step 4
Those who want to create a USB flash drive should choose the USB flash drive option. This will create a bootable USB drive that you can use to erase everything from your computer and do a Clean Install. The USB flash drive can also be used on another computer to install Windows 11. Mind you, you will only have to choose your USB drive and have Windows 11 downloaded on it with this option, but all your files on the USB drive will be erased.
The ISO file is the most secure method for most people when it comes to Windows installation. After selecting the ISO file, click NEXT. This will ask you where you want the ISO file to be saved, and once the download is completed, you will have the ISO file on your PC’s hard disk. Continue with Step 3 if you choose this method.
Step 2: Download Microsoft Windows 11 ISO on PC
Most Windows OS users are willing and ready to upgrade their PC to the new Windows 11, but the Windows 11 operating system download tool only works on a computer running Windows 7, 8, or 10. If you are running one of those OS, you can download the Windows 11 ISO file from the Microsoft website. Go to the Windows 11 download page, and if you are not running a compatible OS, it will detect it. You can choose the version of Windows 11 you want to download on this same page, and it will offer you both 32-bit and 64-bit ISO in your preferred language. You can copy the ISO file to a USB drive for use on a Windows laptop or desktop for installation.
Step 3: Install Windows 11 directly from the ISO.
For those using Windows 8 or a newer version, you can easily upgrade your Windows OS version by mounting the ISO file you downloaded. All you need to do is double-click on it, and the WIndows will display the ISO like a DVD drive, and now you can install Windows 11. Next, open the setup.exe, and the installer will open, choose to install Windows 11 instead. This will leave your files and programs, and all necessary files will be copied from the ISO to your PC, and it will reboot your computer to complete the installation process.
If you are running on Windows 7 or the older version. The ability to mount the ISO file is not built into Windows 7 but, you can download Virtual Clone Drive. Step 4: burn Windows 11 ISO to DVD.
Suppose you have a computer that has a DVD burner with a writable DVD. You can store the Windows 11 ISO on disk and install Windows 11 by booting from the disk. All you need to do is right-click the ISO file, then click on Burn Disc Image. The Windows disk image recorder will open, asking you which disk drive you want to use. Click Burn to start the process when you are ready.
Once completed, you will have a bootable DVD for Windows 11 installation. You can also use other software to burn the ISO, but built-in software is easy to use. Most computers should boot from a DVD by default but in some cases where you have access to the computers’ boot menu to install Windows 11 from a DVD.
