Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro

Last but not least on our list is the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, which should also win the title for the longest battery life. Ring provides a wired floodlight option with its camera, allowing power to be delivered to the camera without the need for (re)charging batteries.

The Ring floodlight camera has a 140-degree field of vision and can detect individuals in 1080p quality. It also boasts the loudest siren of any camera on our list, as well as an 8x zoom.

The Ring costs roughly $280 and has a monthly price of between $3 and $10. Unfortunately, it only works with Amazon Alexa, which isn’t surprising given that Amazon owns Ring.

One thing to keep in mind with Ring is that their floodlight wired cameras are available in Pro and Plus versions. They are fairly similar but have minor changes in their features. For starters, the Plus version is roughly $70 less expensive than the Pro version. The Pro version has improved audio, motion sensing, and wi-fi capabilities.

Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro: Best Floodlight Cameras

Best Floodlight Cameras

While we believe the Arlo is the best camera to buy for the capabilities it offers, the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro is not without merit. It’s actually what we’d recommend to most folks looking for extra outdoor security – unless you’re in a Homekit ecosystem, of course.

The Eufy floodlight also has a 2K resolution and an adjustable pan and tilt angle, but the camera can rotate an amazing 360 degrees. It can also track people for you and provide you with smart warnings about them.

Unfortunately, there are a few flaws with the Eufy cam that we must address. To begin with, it does not operate with Homekit; instead, it only works with Alexa and Assistant. Second, the Eufy floodlight costs $300 but includes free local storage but no 24/7 recording. So, while you pay a little more upfront, you save money if you plan to save recordings on a microSD card.
